Title: The Dragon Knight, the Penniless Knight, the Pauper Knight Family: None Weapon(s): Dragon Guardian Pet: None Story: Born a member of the smallfolk, he was the son of a blacksmith on the Isle of Dragonstone. When the Bolton Rebellion of that time threatened the great city of Kings Landing, the Knights of Dragonstone went tot heir aid. One such Dragonstone Knight, Ser William Brightscale, needing a squire took the boy who had his fathers skill in mending armor and sword. For young Armand it was a grand adventure. 13 years of age and he was sailing to Kings Landing to fight a tyrannical monster. The best he could hope for was the chance to see other knights... but the best sadly never comes to us, and fate is cruel. Victoria Tyrell, Queen of the Seven Kingdoms, put the knights of Dragonstone to protect the Dragon Gate to the North. When the forces of the Grand Flayer, Richard Bolton smashed into Kings Landing it was from the north in grand fashion. One by one the knights of Dragonstone and High Garden fell. And in the end as the battle was coming to a close, no knights remained, but a frightened boy of 13 still stood in defiance of the Flayers Forces. Picking up the Knights Sword, he took a standing, and the battle ended when Richard Bolton lay dead at his feet. Armand remembered killing him, but he did not remember anything else. When he woke up it was to find himself in a plush room, the Queen over him, and her daughter to his side he was surprised, and rose half naked from the bed to bow. The Queen humbled by his bravery, and his honor, did something that till her death bed people still questioned. She knighted this smallfolk boy, this son of a smith. Knighted, and given the title of The Dragon Knight, by Queen Victoria, Armand was blessed by Queen Victoria, and favored by her as she had her master forgers forge him one of a kind armor, and matching sword. After which he returned to Dragonstone, a hero to the people, smallfolk especially. Yet as time went on he was surprised to receive an invitation from the Queen, now Victaria Tyrell, who knew him when he was younger. His time in the capital saw him challenged on the field of battle and taken second place in a grand tournament. Yet Victaria was not sated. She wished him near and gave him what he wanted. Now he serves as Captain of her Queens Guard. Willing and able to defend her life. Still, he hopes to find that special someone he can call his wife. |
